Yanmar SV120 Adblue fault: Power limitation
The SV120 midi excavator is equipped with an EU Phase IIIB / EPA Tier 4 Interim engine. Exhaust after-treatment reduces harmful emissions by 90%, as well as nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC) and fine dust. As a result, it benefits from an improved combustion and injection system, as well as a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC).
Defects encountered on Yanmar SV excavators
For optimum efficiency, SPN codes containing DEUTZ faults must be permanently deleted from the EDC17CV52 engine ECU. The codes associated with the ADBLUE and DPF system on this vehicle are: 523613 - 523722 - 400647 - 400643 - SPN 97.
We are adopting a strategy aimed at eliminating the faults present and even operating with the pump and NOx injector disconnected, particularly when the excavator is required to work abroad. It should be noted that fault 400643 cannot be permanently deactivated, but does not restrict the machine's power.
DEF system: Post-treatment of faulty exhaust gases and writing of a new management program
After extracting the data and analyzing the various faults present in the ECU, we rework the program and write it to the ECU Flash. This operation is equivalent to running the vehicle with a new internal program that emulates/deactivates AdBlue errors. The vehicle is now ready to work, having recovered its power. At the same time, we've optimized the engine for better performance when a shredder is used in place of the shovel.
