While the V8 NTG1 Phase 1 versions are equipped with an EGR valve to pass the emissions test, the 13L versions are not. There are 4 13L engines to choose from, and we'll be taking a closer look at the possible upgrades.

    370CV DC13 149

The 370 develops 1900Nm of torque. Managed by an EMD1 engine box, it shares common components with the other 3 trucks. In many cases, the gearbox fitted is the GRS905, coupled to the P500 shaft. Identical compression ratios for the 4 13L engines, although the injectors and turbo are different from the other 3 (410/450/500). The clutch is identical to that of the 410.

    410CV DC13 141

The 410 develops 2150Nm of torque. Managed by the EMD1 engine ECU, it has all the components of the 450 and 500 except the clutch, which is the same as on the 370. Injectors, turbo and high-pressure pump are shared. The gearbox fitted is generally the GRS905 coupled to the P500 shaft. Engine reprogramming options offer significant torque and power gains.

    450CV DC13 148

The 450 develops 2350Nm of torque, managed by an EMD1 engine control unit. Volumetric ratio of 18:1. It is the twin of the 500 and has almost all the parts of the 500: injectors, turbo, HP pump, K432 48 clutch, also identical, coupled to either a GRS895 or 905 gearbox, depending on configuration. The fact that engine optimization on the 450 is very interesting is due to the fact that the main difference with the 500 is an electronic power flange.

    500CV DC13 155

The 500 develops 2550Nm of torque managed by an EMD1 ECU. It is the twin of the 450, with identical engine parts. Turbo, injectors, HP pump, transmission, clutch. The standard gearbox is generally the GRS905, although the 450 also features the 895. When we optimize a 500 NTG Ph1, we get the same results as a 450 that has been reprogrammed and optimized, since only one flange differs.
