Adblue removal solution for Renault Trucks Euro 6 C460 T460

Removing adblue on Renault Trucks Euro 6

In close collaboration with truck export companies, we implement our technical and reliable solutions to deactivate Adblue on Renault Trucks meeting the Euro 6 standard, so that they can drive in Africa in particular without any anti-pollution worries.

The adblue removal process on Renault Trucks

There are a number of ways of eliminating the emission control system on Renault Trucks. Faults, when they occur, are mainly permanent faults stored in the memory of the AfterTreatment Control Module (ACM) ECU. This is the main control unit for exhaust gas management and treatment. It controls the FAP and AdBlue (SCR) systems.

The various solutions are as follows, but depend solely on the configuration of your truck and whether or not Renault Truck has carried out any updates. Please send us the VIN of your vehicle for more information.
The procedure for the 3 Renault C460s scheduled for export was as follows:
Installation of an ACM emulation box to simulate all data relating to SCR and FAP exhaust problems. This box enables the cancellation of any faults, as well as the operation of the particulate filter. If certain faults are permanently present, this box must be associated with a specific deletion in the EMS engine ECU. Our solution by installing a box should only be used if the vehicle is not equipped with a hydraulic retarder.

The ACM module is very easy to install. Simply disconnect your vehicle's original ACM and connect our box. Our solution has been designed to enable rapid system troubleshooting. Once the virtualization module has been connected in place of the original ACM, 2 cables will need to be run to the front of the cab to enable information to be transmitted over the CAN Bus network from our emulator box.

As you can see from the photo above, the original ACM box is displaying a communication error with the vehicle, since it has been disconnected, and now the harness is connected to our Adblue emulator for Renault Trucks Euro 6. As mentioned above, various parameters are emulated (virtualized) and send the information expected by the EMS engine management ECU. As a result, no more information or errors are transmitted on the CAN Bus network, except, of course, the communication error with the base ACM. Below, you can see that removing adblue on Renault Trucks via our emulator enables a constant adblue level to be displayed, regardless of the filling level.

In our case, we removed the adblue from Renault Trucks in order to be able to drive abroad, in Africa. There were no previous defects. We can also intervene when the vehicle has broken down, is limited to 20km/h, or has torque or power restrictions. Depending on your vehicle, there are 3 possible solutions for removing the adblue and the DPFS: either via a box with 2 cables to connect our solution to the vehicle's CAN Bus network, or via OBD programming if the vehicle hasn't had any recent updates, or via hard programming in the vehicle's engine ECU and directly in the ACM via the electronic board. The latter solution is applicable if your vehicle is equipped with the retarder and has been updated too recently, making the solution via the OBD socket impossible.

We need your vehicle's serial number to find out about the different options for removing adblue from Renault Trucks. You can also find our other Renault Trucks Euro 6 services.
