We worked on this magnificent Scania Euro 6 for an engine reprogramming to improve the vehicle's torque and power. The EMS S8 management system on the Scania Euro 6 R730 increases power from 730hp to 800hp, and torque from 3500 to 4000Nm. Both the DC16 engine and the gearbox support this improvement.

Stage 1 Scania R730: engine reprogramming and Tacho calibration steps

We have to save and modify the truck's configuration first. Our Scania SDP3 software enables us to communicate fully with all the vehicle's ECUs, and our various Scania engineering programs allow us in "research & development" mode to modify parameters that even the dealership would not be able to achieve. We also extract the vehicle's complete engine operating map in order to modify and optimize factory settings and thus boost performance.

Tachograph calibration allows you to recover a few km/h from the actual speed indicated on the GPS. For example, a truck set to 88km/h GPS may actually be going 90. We can also prepare vehicles for export, and increase or decrease these data without limit, so that they comply with current legislation.

It is possible to switch to free exhaust on Scania R730, but it should be noted that the adblue and DPF system must be reprogrammed so that it does not cause problems when the new parts are installed on the vehicle. In this way, we can operate the vehicle so that it does not run in degraded mode and is not restricted to a maximum speed limit (20kmh) in the event of a fault.
