Problem Adblue Fendt 716 Tier 4F - Reduced power 15km/h max

    Problem Fendt 716 : Solutions & Troubleshooting

Are you experiencing an Adblue Fend 716 problem? Loss of power, adblue injection failure, excessive safety settings. Adblue-services.com can solve your adblue problems for good.

What happens when a Fendt tractor runs out of adblue (level not done) or when the adblue system fails

On Fendt tractors, and more specifically in this article on a Fendt 716, when the Adblue indicator lights up on the dashboard following a general fault in the system which, after several visits to the dealership, could not really be identified, the tractor enters a degraded mode. Loss of power and limited engine torque. It becomes virtually impossible to use the vehicle to work in good conditions, as it is no longer able to tow or use the original dedicated engine torque.

SCR -> The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system uses AdBlue®.

    1. AdBlue® is injected into the exhaust pipe upstream of the Fendt 716's SCR catalytic converter.
    2. Heat causes urea to break down into ammonia.
    3. Through chemical reaction with ammonia in the SCR catalytic converter, nitrogen oxides from the engine are converted into nitrogen (a harmless gas, the main component of the air we breathe) and water vapour.

Adblue problem Fendt 716: The faulty SCR system on a Fendt has enabled us to identify the main components involved in the degradation of engine performance. These are mainly the Adblue pump, the injector, the Adblue gauge, the catalytic converter, the NOx sensors and the wiring harness, which can also cause the system to malfunction. The SCR catalytic converter is often crystallized by the solidification of urea, becoming rock-hard and clogging the system. The cost of an SCR catalyser is around €7,000.

Adblue troubleshooting solution for your Fendt 716 tractor

Fendt 716 tractors are equipped with Bosch EDC17CV52 or EDC17CV56 engine management ECUs. These manage (for the part we're interested in) the various data from the exhaust after-treatment system (Adblue), as well as other data such as engine mapping data for power increase, and also contain EPPROMs programmed with the vehicle's anti-start data and configuration. (Below are just a few examples of fault codes present on the vehicle).

Problem Adblue Fendt 716 By reading the mapping data with dedicated hardware, we can extract the complete information and adjust the data to our customer's requirements. (Increase power, Deactivate Adblue....). This tailor-made programming allows the vehicle to return to its initial operating state, with no fault codes or downgraded modes. The 15km/h speed limit is also removed, and the vehicle is now ready to get on with its hard work.

In most cases, it is not necessary to delete fault codes after programming. However, we do have an erasing tool to enable the EDC ECU data to be re-initialized.
