AdBlue problem Ecolog 564D Forestry carrier Mercedes Tier 4 engine

Solving an AdBlue Ecolog 564D problem

Ecolog 564D forestry forwarders meet Tier 4 Final standards, and are powered by Mercedes Benz engines with exhaust gas recirculation and oxidation-reduction aftertreatment (SCR), otherwise known as AdBlue. The Mercedes engine Type OM934LA.E4-2 has 4 cylinders in line, turbocharged. The engine management system is managed by the MCM (Motor Control Module) and the exhaust gas aftertreatment management system by the ACM (AfterTreatment Control Module).

We've simplified things for you below (management modules can be located in different places on different machines). The photo is not exhaustive, but simply shows the configuration of the Adblue system.

Our solution can be applied in 2 different ways to remove an adblue Ecolog Mercedes engine problem

As we've just seen, Adblue is managed by 2 programmed units. The ACM and the MCM. Virtualizing or disabling the Adblue management program can be done in 2 different ways.

Alternatively, we can read the vehicle's original data from the ACM and MCM connectors, then rework them. In this way, it is possible to remove the following elements:
    - EGR directly in the MCM ECU
    - SCR intervention in ACM + MCM mandatory
    - DPF intervention in ACM + MCM mandatory
    - Power and performance enhancement directly in MCM

Our other solution, which is the most common, simple and quick to implement, is to install a microprocessor-equipped box which virtualizes Adblue data by connecting to the vehicle's CAN BUS network, either from the ACM or the MCM. The two boxes are linked by the same CAN network and communicate with each other. This method eliminates SCR + DPF faults.

Installing our box on the vehicle's CAN network emulates all the data from the exhaust aftertreatment system and eliminates any Adblue problems on your Ecolog. This is the simplest way to proceed, and you can install the box yourself if you're stuck deep in the woods.

Once the emulation box is functional, the vehicle emerges from downgraded mode, regaining its full power and torque. Note that on the OM934LA of Ecolog 564D carriers, power of 170KW is once again available, as is torque of over 850Nm. The Mercedes 4-cylinder 5.1L engine will no longer display any defects concerning the anti-pollution system. Note that it is forbidden to remove it permanently or only if you wish to work abroad in countries not subject to the current standard (Tier 4F).
