Clogged Fap problem on Fendt 718 Vario

FAP and Adblue troubleshooting on Fendt 718 Vario
On the Fendt 718 Vario, we found that the soot level in the FAP was too high, preventing automatic regeneration. After replacing the differential sensor, the problem persists, indicating a clogged Fap problem on the Fendt 718. As a last option, we completely deactivate the emission control system by reprogramming the ECU.
We start by connecting our specific diagnostic tools to the Bosch EDC 17 CV52 ECU via the OBD port. Next, we read the ECU's current data to identify all present and active faults, including codes 134 and 141 for NOx sensors, code 1703 for the differential pressure sensor, and code 1891 for power reduction.
Once the faults have been identified, we draw up a new operating program for the ECU, designed to suppress DPFS regeneration and deactivate the degraded mode. We also include the deactivation of AdBlue operation to avoid any future problems. This new program is then flashed into the ECU's memory using our specialized reprogramming tools.
Once reprogramming is complete, we check that the fault codes have been eliminated by re-examining the ECU data. All codes must be cleared or inactive. We then carry out a full vehicle test run with the customer to check that the overall system is operating correctly, and to ensure that the clogged Fap problem on the Fendt 718 is resolved.
The FAP must also be physically emptied to allow the gases to escape. Clogged cells prevent this from happening.
Following programming via our system, you can permanently disconnect the NOx sensors and adblue pump electrically. No faults will be present on the dashboard, and the vehicle will also be out of performance restriction for all exhaust and emission control.
