Adblue Off on Scania 540S engine DC13 166 SCR Off Zero defect

Adblue fault removal on Scania 540S

Eliminate adblue problems on a Scania 540S, Euro 6

Remove an SCR fault on 540S

The Scania 540S is powered by the Scania DC13-166, a 13-liter in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine with a maximum output of 540 hp and maximum torque of 2700 Nm. This engine complies with Euro 6 emissions standards and uses SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology, otherwise known as Adblue. This technology is often flawed, resulting in reduced vehicle utilization.

AdBlue suppression (Adblue Off on Scania 540S) involves reprogramming the engine management system so that it ignores the existence of the AdBlue system and does not require the vehicle to inject AdBlue into the exhaust system. This can be done by removing the AdBlue level sensor, modifying the engine management system parameters or using specific suppression software.

Adblue system faults on Scania: 5848 and 5849

The two fault codes you have provided (5848 and 5849) indicate problems with the NOx sensors located upstream and downstream of the SCR catalytic converter in the exhaust system.

These sensors measure the amount of NOx in the exhaust gases and send this information to the engine management system to regulate AdBlue injection and NOx emission reduction. If one of these sensors is faulty or malfunctions, this can lead to a failure of the emission control system and an increase in NOx emissions.

The Adblue Off solution on the Scania 540S corrects the problem without having to replace the sensors. The same applies to all other Adblue and FAP fault codes.

Speaking of the FAP, deletion is also possible.

The suppression of the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) via engine mapping consists in modifying the engine management parameters so that the system does not detect the presence of the DPF and does not trigger the regenerations necessary for the correct operation of this system. This modification can be made by modifying the engine control unit software. The removal of the DPFS is carried out at the same time as the removal of the adblue system on Scania; we cannot separate the two.

    Speed sensor calibration

Calibration of the speed sensor allows you to obtain a few extra km/h or, on the contrary, to remove some, depending on your needs. We hope our article has helped you in your research.
