Defects in the John Deere AdBlue system
Following AdBlue faults on this machine, it was no longer possible to move it. Defect codes SPN 189 FMI 31 and SPN 4364 put the machine into degraded mode, restricting engine power and torque.
John Deere fault code 4364 indicates a malfunction in the AdBlue system, and more specifically in the SCR catalytic converter.
Code SPN 189 31 indicates that a parameter requires engine torque and power to be restricted. Finally, code 1569 FMI 31 indicates that the degraded mode is active.
How do I reprogram a John Deere harvester to remove AdBlue permanently?
John Deere 1270G harvesters operating to Tier 4F emission standards are controlled by an L33 engine management module. The L33 ECU manages the engine operation of this harvester equipped with the 9-liter John Deere Phoenix 6090HTJ28 engine. This engine management module also manages the entire exhaust after-treatment system, and reprogramming this ECU will eliminate the use of AdBlue on this vehicle.
Definitive deletion of default code deletion of power limitation
After reprogramming the engine management ECU and all the parameters relating to the AdBlue system, the vehicle will no longer have any faults and will regain its full power and torque for good.
In some cases, the system def message may indicate a fault, but this is not the case. It depends on the software version and the ability to pass on this message. As for the machine, it will continue to operate without any limitations.
