Increase the power of a Scania R730 Streamline from 730 to 800hp

Improve fuel consumption and driving comfort

We worked on this R730 Streamline to improve driving comfort and fuel consumption. Increasing the power of a Scania R730, as well as its engine torque, will enable better acceleration at low revs, thus requiring less pressure on the accelerator pedal (hence the gain in fuel consumption). The extra torque avoids inadvertent downshifts, so half-gears are no longer always necessary, and gears are maintained down to below 1000rpm.

On an R730 Euro 6, fitted with a DPF and adblue, the fuel consumption gain is around 2 to 3L/100km. For optimum results in terms of fuel consumption, it is preferable to remove the particulate filter and adblue, but this is not tolerated if you drive in Europe, even though it is undetectable.

Is it possible to fit a free exhaust system?

It is possible to fit a free exhaust system to an R730 once the Adblue (SCR) system has been permanently removed. The EGR valve can also be shut down to allow better exhaust sound.

    Speed sensor calibration

Calibration of the speed sensor allows you to obtain a few extra km/h or, on the contrary, to remove some, depending on your needs. We hope our article has helped you in your search.
