    Disable adblue on CAT TH408D

Definitive deactivation of Adblue on CAT machines

Are you experiencing adblue problems on your Caterpillar TH408D telescopic handler and can't seem to solve them? We have a definitive solution to your problem: Deactivate adblue on CAT TH408D!

First of all, Caterpillar telescopic loaders are equipped with C4.4 Industrial engines. These engines are coupled to ADEM 5 ECUs, and sometimes ADEM 6 depending on the year of production of the machine. To deactivate the adblue on CAT TH408D, the engine management unit must be completely flashed, in order to restrict the machine's various safety functions.

Deactivation of limp mode and NOx control

Like all vehicles and machines subject to emission control regulations, when a fault is detected it automatically switches the engine to downgraded mode, from 25% to 100% depending on severity. When the vehicle is in 100% downgraded mode, it is totally impossible to use it for work, and almost impossible to move it. Our intervention consists of deactivating the downgraded mode, stopping urea injection (Adblue), but also stopping particulate filter regeneration and EGR valve operation.

Illustrated example of a 100% degraded motor: fault 5246-15; 5246-16

The fault corresponding to an emission control malfunction with Operator Inducement Severity implies that your TH408D's C4.4 engine is in LIMP mode. We therefore check the engine power reduction level using our Caterpillar tool, and can verify that it is in 100% degraded mode (see below). The Engine Power Derate line shows the percentage of power reduction.

Limp Mode Active 100% Caterpillar C4.4Flashing the ECU with new, totally revised parameters will not only eliminate the adblue injection system, but also restore the engine's full efficiency. After our intervention on the Engine Power Derate line below, you can see that the power reduction rate is 0%.
