    AdBlue failure Volvo FH16 650 Euro 6 + 750hp engine reprogramming

AdBlue failure Volvo FH16 650 + Power increase

Resolution of a Volvo FH16 AdBlue failure for our customer. The adblue system was malfunctioning, restricting the vehicle to a speed of 20km/h. This is what we call a Limp Mode or Torque Reduction. It's important to intervene to ensure that AdBlue is removed from the heart of the two ECUs: ACM and EMS. ACM is the emission control module and EMS is the engine management module.

We were asked to improve the truck's power output, something we can achieve directly by reworking the entire EMS engine mapping. As a result, the Volvo D16K650 block will see its power rise from 650 to 750hp, with improved torque at low revs thanks to a 300Nm increase.

Defects in EMS and ACM permanently eliminated

P204F93: AdBlue dosage problem on Volvo FH16 650; fault in EMS
P207F9A: SCR agent quality problem - AdBlue quality problem; fault present in EMS
P20E797: Exhaust gas treatment problem; ACM fault
In addition to initially limiting engine power (degraded mode), these faults will cause the truck to enter creep mode within a few hours. In other words, it will not be possible to exceed a speed of 20km/h.

    Optional:

Intervention on FAP: Particulate filter: Possibility of eliminating regenerations and problems linked to the particulate filter.
Intervention on EGR valve: Possibility of electronically shutting down the EGR valve to prevent exhaust gases from recirculating into the intake to be burned a second time.

Intervention on vehicle speed: Possibility of modifying vehicle speed (plus or minus) according to your needs. If the truck is to be driven in a country with different speed limits, it is possible to modify the speed, but we don't intervene on the tacho part, only the regulator.

    Troubleshooting adblue Volvo FH16 650 D16K650

To remove the faults in the boxes, we need to connect to the heart of the EMS 2.3 or 2.4 engine ECU, depending on the year, as well as to the heart of the ACM. This solution is not authorized, however (although it is invisible), for trucks running in Europe and subject to the Euro standard. Once the fault codes have been removed, all that remains is to retouch the memory and skip the engine torque reduction protection, so that the vehicle never again goes into downgraded mode.

For foreign countries, it's the ultimate solution!

When vehicles are to be exported to countries where adblue does not exist, and for which the Euro 6 standard is not in force, then this modification is perfectly legal. If you need to drive in Europe, please note that although invisible, this modification is not tolerated, and we cannot be held responsible.
