For this operation, we used Trasdata reprogramming equipment, which flashes the engine ECU's flash memory.

Steps in the adblue removal procedure :

1. Identifying fault codes: Before we start, we've identified the fault codes associated with emissions problems on the vehicle.
2. Reading and backing up original data: We then read and backed up the vehicle's original data, so as to have a copy on hand in case of need.
3. Modification of engine ECU flash memory parameters: We have modified the parameters concerning emissions in the engine ECU flash memory.
4. Writing the new data : Once the modifications had been made, we rewrote the new data in the engine ECU.

Results following parameter deactivation

Results obtained: Following ECU reprogramming, the results obtained are as follows:

• Definitive elimination of emission-related defects
• No more LIMP mode (creeping at 20 km/h)
• No more power restrictions
• No more AdBlue consumption
• No more particulate filter regeneration

Reprogramming the ECU on this 2020 MAN TGS 32.430 Euro 6 solved the emissions-related problems without encountering any particular difficulties. The vehicle is now free of emissions-related faults, power restrictions and LIMP mode. The operation also eliminated AdBlue consumption and particulate filter regeneration. The truck now has no more dashboard faults, and can also pass inspection and possibly be used for export if required. The particulate filter can be physically removed from the vehicle (cartridge removed).
