    Solving an Arocs 3240 adblue fault

    Following the preparation of two Mercedes Arocs 3240 vehicles for export, where the Euro 6 standard is not in force, we were tasked with removing the entire exhaust gas after-treatment system controlled by the MCM and ACM modules.

    Aftertreatment Control Modules (ACMs) are used in vehicles to monitor and control the operation of Mercedes' emission management systems, such as Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). These modules receive real-time data from various engine and exhaust system sensors, and use this information to make adjustments to fuel injection and ignition timing, among others, in order to keep the engine running smoothly and reduce pollutant emissions.

    Both the ACM and the motor control module (MCM) are connected to the vehicle's fieldbus communication network (CANBUS). The CANBUS is a communication network that links all the vehicle's electronic components together, enabling them to share data and work together to keep the vehicle running smoothly. They exchange real-time data on engine and emission management system operation.

    Our engine management programming software enables you to modify a vehicle's engine management software. Using WinOLS, it is possible to delete certain injection parameters, such as those linked to particulate filter (DPF) regeneration or EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve control.

    DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) are error codes stored in a vehicle's engine management system when a fault is detected. These codes are used by technicians to diagnose vehicle operating problems and determine the causes of faults.

    It is possible to remove DTCs from a vehicle using diagnostic software, or by manually deleting the fault codes stored in the engine management system. However, it is important to note that deleting DTCs may temporarily mask vehicle operating problems, without resolving the underlying cause of these problems. If DTCs are deleted without having identified and corrected the cause of the fault, it is possible that the problem will recur, leading to a vehicle breakdown.

    With our solution, DTCs are eliminated once and for all, and your Arocs is ready to run without Adblue or particle filters, so it can be exported without any restrictions to other countries where Adblue is not available.
