Power upgrade on R580 V8 Streamline
Upgrade your Scania R580 V8 to 650hp and save up to 3L/100 of fuel
The DC16 102 block from Scania, well known for its Euro 6 design with EGR valve, variable geometry turbo and Adblue system, which can cause problems. Our aim was to shut down the Adblue and FAP systems, so as to be able to integrate a free exhaust system with a flap valve.
How does the operation work?
The EMS S8 engine management unit, well known since 2014, offers us the possibility of customizing all engine operating and emission control constants. It is therefore possible to deactivate the particulate filter and the SCR (adblue) system on this 16L V8. A special switch enables the emission control system to be activated on demand. So, if you're heading for a concentration and want to make your V8 roar, or if you want to drive in countries where adblue, for example, is rare and not compulsory, you'll be able to deactivate the exhaust after-treatment system.
Stage 1 reprogramming on R580 V8
The reprogramming of the DC16 102 block delivers significant torque and power gains. Power is increased from 580hp to 650hp after upgrading to Stage 1 ++. Engine torque, meanwhile, has improved from 2950Nm to 3300Nm. The GRSO 905R gearbox handles this torque with ease. The extra torque reduces fuel consumption by an average of 3 liters per 100 km.
