    Tier 5 MAN D4276 16.2L 790hp engine

Inhibition Adblue EGR FAP Albach Diamant 2000 : Man Tier V 2019 and + engines

The new Diamant 2000 models, which come out with the Tier V standard, are powered by MAN engines. The engine block is the MAN D4276 LE122, rated at 790 hp. Thanks to its turbocharger, it delivers a nominal torque of 3400Nm. This MAN engine is based on the D3876 used on many trucks, and on which we have already worked on numerous occasions. Only a few internals have been modified, as have the cubic capacity and turbo. The engine management system, via a Bosch EDC17 or MD1CE100 ECU, is well known, and we can offer you a range of Adblue EGR FAP Albach Diamant 2000 troubleshooting solutions.

Troubleshooting Albach Diamant 2000 EGR FAP Adblue and Turbo Problem

The problems that can be encountered on Albach Diamant 2000 MAN engines are mainly linked to the anti-pollution system, be it the EGR valve, the particulate filter, the adblue system or the supercharger. In fact, turbo problems are quite frequent, and this is explained by the fact that the MAN D4276 block has been developed to deliver a high power output of 790hp and a torque of 3400Nm maintained over a range of 250 revolutions per minute from 1350 to 1600rpm. The turbo's pressure load is considerable, and the Tier V emission control system does nothing to help. Exhaust gas recirculation plus the operation of the DPFS leads to higher EGTs (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) and consequent overheating when the turbo compresses them to work continuously.

    • Engine type: Man D4276
    • ECU type: Bosch EDC17CV42 and MD1CE100
    • Machine model: Albach Diamant 2000
    • It also reduces the risk of breakage of the fixed-geometry turbocharger installed on the vehicle as a result of reduced exhaust gas temperature, thus preventing the turbocharger from overheating.

    What does our solution do?

    • Elimination of EGR operation
    • Elimination of FAP/DOC operation
    • Elimination of AdBlue system operation
    • Creep mode disabled
    • No more torque or speed limits in the event of a problem with the emission control system
    • It may be possible to increase power (but only if the anti-pollution device is removed), otherwise further turbo pressure increases the turbo's fragility.

    What's the solution?

Our solution consists of complete programming of the engine ECU, with emulation of emission control parameters. It's not a question of deleting fault codes or removing all torque limits. The values remain consistent for interpretation by the engine management ECU. This operation requires that the vehicle be immobilized for half a day, and that you work outside the drill in a dry place with electricity. Alternatively, if you're far away, you can send us your vehicle's engine management ECU directly (see photos below).

In addition to Albach, AGCO manufacturers Fendt and Claas have also adopted the MAN D4276 for their agricultural machinery. Austrian manufacturer Kahlbacher also uses the engine for its airport snowblowers. We can also work on these vehicles/machines.

And if you still have older Albach Diamant 2000 machines with Volvo Penta engines, we also have solutions that allow you to troubleshoot the anti-pollution system and avoid the torque restriction that renders the machine unusable.
