Many of you have asked us about the possibility of removing the AdBlue system from motorhomes fitted with Fiat Ducato engines meeting the Euro 6 standard. The answer is yes, we can, and for good.

Travelling abroad with a motorhome is a sign of freedom. Go where you want, when you want, without worrying about anything... except one thing 🙂 AdBlue.... Is AdBlue available in the country I'm visiting, and is the Euro 6 standard in force? So many reasons to disable the system when you go to a country where AdBlue is not available.

The question is pretty quickly answered, in fact. If your AdBlue system breaks down on your Fiat Ducato Camping Car, you're probably in for a bumpy ride. It's highly likely that local Fiat dealerships or garages won't be able to get parts quickly, since vehicles in this country are not subject to AdBlue. What's more, if you run out of AdBlue in your Ducato, you won't be able to start it after switching off the engine or refuelling.

The solution is to use our deactivation services. We can enter the engine ECU to deactivate AdBlue injection for good. This enables the vehicle to be driven without fault codes, and to avoid being forced to stop and restart.

If you are geographically distant from our center in Normandy, we can also intervene. The operation is simple: just dismantle your engine ECU (usually located next to the vehicle's battery), and send it to us by the postal service of your choice. In return, we'll send it to you by Colissimo or Chronopost, depending on your requirements.
