    Adblue troubleshooting Liebherr Deutz engine

All machines equipped with Deutz Tier 4F engines with SCR

Adblue fault Liebherr Deutz TCD engine

Many Liebherr machines are equipped with Deutz engines. However, despite their great reliability and the reputation of the Liebherr brand, some machines have malfunctions, particularly in relation to the exhaust gas after-treatment system. The Adblue or SCR system. We can offer you solutions to avoid engine restrictions.

Liebherr Deutz engine adblue problems: what's going on?

When something goes wrong with the SCR (Adblue) system on one of your Deutz machines, you enter a degraded mode that reduces torque and engine power. This is due to the management of exhaust gas post-treatment by the Bosch EDC17CV52 engine ECU. When a sensor, probe, gauge, injector or Adblue pump, or any other element directly linked to the SCR system, sends unexpected information on the CAN network, the ECU interprets it as an error and limits the use of the vehicle's maximum power and torque. When the error message appears on the dashboard, in the vast majority of cases power will be reduced after 30 to 45 minutes, and more and more every 5 minutes until the vehicle is no longer usable.

How do I fix an Adblue fault in a Liebherr or Deutz engine?

Adblue problems on Liebherr machines equipped with Deutz TCD 3.6, TCD 4.1, TCD 6.1 engines operating with a Bosch engine management module to Tier 4F standard can be solved. We can download the engine ECU's Flash memory and interpret all engine operating data. We use our tools to read the vehicle's original data using the bench method (to do this, the ECU has to be dismantled).

Once the entire memory has been copied, we can work on the program and modify the various values that will enable your vehicle to run without Adblue problems. The various Adblue fault codes will be deleted, so you'll no longer have any warning lights or error messages on the dashboard, and you'll be able to disconnect the Adblue pump directly from the vehicle, so you can be sure that no consumption is possible, since it will no longer be powered.

    Models supported by our solution

    • All Liebherr vehicles operating under Tier 4F minimum standard
    • All Liebherr vehicles equipped with Deutz engines under the same standard
    • The vehicle must be controlled by a Bosch EDC17CV52 engine ECU (if you have a Deutz Tier 4F engine, there is a 99% chance that your ECU is a Bosch).

Advanced features and functions of our program

    • No more SCR Adblue defects
    • No restrictions on torque and engine power
    • You can directly disconnect the Adblue pump without any operating errors.
    • Engine power and torque can also be improved for enhanced performance

What does the EDC17CV52 engine ECU look like?

The Bosch engine ECU is a sturdy metal box fitted with 2 connectors. It is often located close to the engine on vehicles fitted with Deutz engines.
