FAP EGR and ADBLUE

Lists of the main Adblue fault codes on different truck makes

Defects in Orange are for information only. You cannot click on the defect. They correspond to a problem with the AdBlue system.

Defects highlighted in red can be clicked on to obtain further information about them, as well as service reports.

Defects in Violet do not correspond to an AdBlue system defect, but to a problem with gas emissions. Fap or EGR in most cases

    CodesMercedes

Here you'll find the most common fault codes for Adblue problems on Mercedes Bluetec 5 and Bluetec 6 trucks. The information given below is for guidance only and we cannot be held responsible for any interpretation you may make of it.

P1950: AdBlue tank filling level too low.
Stores in memory if you haven't filled up with Adblue and have driven too long without Adblue. In many cases, this fault becomes permanent (it cannot be erased by itself, and you need to use the original Mercedes tool to erase it correctly).

    P1951 : Interruption AdBlue dosing
Relative to P1950. The two faults appear together. Since the Adblue level is insufficient, dosing is interrupted (logical in itself).

    P1952: Insufficient urea quality
Occurs when the AdBlue fluid is of poor quality, or when a leak in the tank is detected, causing condensation inside the tank.

    P1953: AdBlue consumption too low
Occurs in cases where the catalytic converter may also be faulty. Poor exhaust gas evacuation means that the exhaust post-treatment cycles cannot be completed, so AdBlue consumption is below the threshold set in the engine ECU parameters.

P1954: Fault code relating to an EGR valve problem and not to the Adblue system. Please contact us if you would like more information about this fault. Clean the valve first

P1955: Fault code also related to an EGR valve problem and not to the Adblue system. Please contact us if you would like more information on this fault. Clean the valve first.

    P1956: Nox concentration too high
There may be several causes: pump failure, Adblue injector, faulty catalytic converter, faulty Lambda sensor. Check that the catalytic converter is not blocked and that the sensors are sending the right signal.

P1957: Fault(s) in the exhaust gas aftertreatment system.
There may be multiple causes. This fault is almost always present when another Adblue fault is detected.

    CodesRenault

Find the most common Adblue fault codes that may be present on your Renault. Renaut T, Renault K, Renault C and older DCi DXi...

    P204F93: Adblue dosing problem
Indicates a fault in the Adblue system. In many cases, this fault is not present on its own. Too little Adblue may be the cause. There may be many reasons for this.

    P207F9A: Poor Adblue quality
Found on Renault Euro 6 models, this fault indicates a malfunction of the exhaust system's key components. In many cases, this fault is the result of a particulate filter failure. We recommend regeneration using the original Renault/Volvo diagnostic equipment. In 99% of cases, your truck will indicate a reduction in torque and a speed limit of 20 km/h within 8 hours.

    P20F400: AdBlue consumption too low.
Encountered in cases where the catalytic converter may also be faulty. Poor exhaust gas evacuation means that exhaust after-treatment cycles cannot be completed, so AdBlue fluid consumption is below the threshold set in the engine ECU parameters.
