Problem Adblue Man 18-480 Euro 6 - Reduced power
With the vehicle in crawling mode and unable to exceed 20kmh due to a total malfunction of the AdBlue system on this Man euro 6, deactivation was essential in order to export the truck. As Man had repeatedly failed to find the fault, we decided to use a more drastic method: deletion directly in the engine program.
The various fault codes include a communication fault with the AdBlue CAN network, and a malfunction in the Man Euro 6 exhaust emissions control system. Code 5522 and Code 5508.
Adblue Man 18-480 problem: Deactivation of Adblue and FAP systems
By reading information from the engine ECU, you can retrieve all the information from the truck's engine program. When the vehicle is in degraded mode, losing power and unable to tow or even move, modifying the data internally removes all torque-restriction safeguards and avoids Adblue consumption (particularly for vehicles dedicated to export). At the end of the operation, the vehicle returns to full power and torque. The messages displayed on the dashboard are as follows: AdBlue system Reduced power or AdBlue system malfunction, or both.
