    Machine description

    Specializing in the manufacture of handling machines, we worked on this Dieci telescopic handler model Agri Max 65.8, equipped with an FPT (CNH Industrial) engine. A Bosch EDC17CV41 ECU manages injection and exhaust gas aftertreatment.

    How can I eliminate permanent or intermittent faults on a Dieci telescopic handler?

    The aim is to eliminate any fault codes in the emission control system, either preventively or curatively. This will enable the machine to be used without a post-treatment device.

    Error code identification: We use an appropriate diagnostic tool to identify error codes present in the machine's system. This tool can be used to identify specific performance or operating problems.

    Memory reading: We use the same diagnostic tool to read the machine's system memory, where error codes are stored. This step enables us to understand the nature of the problems detected.

    Code analysis: Interpretation of error codes to understand underlying problems.

    Flashing the ECU memory: Flashing a microcontroller is a process by which the program stored in the microcontroller's memory, often called firmware or software, is replaced by an updated version (developed by our team). This operation is necessary to introduce new functions, correct bugs, improve engine performance, deactivate gas aftertreatment functions, etc.

    The ECU in question, used to operate the FPT motor mounted on the Dieci telescopic handler, must be flashed using the Bench method, in order to have full access to the operating data and a complete backup in the event of a need to return to the original.

    Erasing error codes: Once problems have been solved, we use the diagnostic tool to erase non-active error codes from system memory. This indicates that the problems have been dealt with successfully. We also perform a RESET of ECU data, including exhaust gas management peripherals (DOC/DPF/SCR).
