Engine reconditioning Scania Streamline V8 with EGR FAP SCR and TGV

Scania StreamLine Euro 6 V8 engines are virtually identical to those of the NTG Phase 1. They all feature a DPFS, Adblue and EGR system. Power ranges are exactly the same as on the NTG Phase 1, only the cab differs. All feature the XPI high-pressure injection system. Note that the P604 drive shaft is not a reinforced shaft, but the secondary shaft for 6x2/4 tractors.

    520CV DC16 101

The 520 develops 2700Nm of torque, and is managed by an EMS S8 engine control unit. As with the NTG Phase 1, the 520 and 580 are identical in terms of transmission and fuel system. The 520 therefore offers a wide range of optimization options. It features FAP, EGR, AdBlue and a fixed-geometry turbo.

    580CV DC16 102

The 580 develops 2950Nm of torque and is managed by an EMS S8 engine ECU. It has taken over the 520's engine components in terms of injection and transmission. Optimizing a 520 or 580 Streamline comes down to the same thing in the final analysis: it's mainly a question of an electronic flange between the two models. EGR FAP and SCR are present, as is a fixed-geometry turbo.

    730CV DC16 103

The 730 develops 3500Nm of torque, and is also managed by an EMS S8 engine ECU. It does, however, differ from the 520 and 580. The main differences are to be found in the clutch, the gearbox and the turbo, which is variable geometry on this model. There's plenty of scope for improvement, and you can easily transform your 730 into an R800.
