Intervention on a Volvo Euro 6 Adblue system fault on a FMX 450 fitted with an EMS 2.3 ECU and a Continental 2.1 ACM. The aim was to solve the problem of reduced engine power due to a particulate filter clogged to a critical level, meaning that manual or valet regeneration was no longer possible. In addition, the vehicle has a fault in ACM module P218F92.
Explanation of fault P218F92: This is a fault in the exhaust aftertreatment module. In most cases, it's a problem of a damaged AdBlue pump, an empty AdBlue tank (or a problem with the dipstick), or an AdBlue leak.

Resolve Volvo Euro 6 Adblue system fault on FAP

When the soot threshold in the particulate filter is critical, as mentioned above, it is no longer possible to carry out manual regeneration from the vehicle, or indeed with the aid of the suitcase. You have several options: replace the filter, clean it (but at a critical threshold it may be physically damaged), or remove the entire system (not legal if you're driving in Europe, but not visible either).
The operation consists in deleting the data concerning the operation of the FAP from the engine map of the EMS ECU and from the ACM module, and of course removing the filter cartridge. When the critical threshold is reached, the truck's torque is reduced, and you can no longer use the vehicle's capabilities. It may also go into speed-restriction mode, limiting it to a maximum of 20 km/h.

Volvo Euro 6 SCR system fault: Code P218F92

As described above, several elements can cause a P218F92 fault on a Volvo Euro 6. This fault is linked to the SCR system (AdBlue). The solutions are costly: changing the pump, the gauge, the sensors, checking for leaks, etc. In general, our operation to remove the AdBlue system is linked to the removal of the DPFS, so that you can drive with complete peace of mind in the future, and so that your truck doesn't have to stay at Volvo for days on end, with the misfortune of the fault returning quickly because it hasn't been properly resolved. Total elimination of the DPFS and SCR means you can drive without AdBlue and particulate filter. Again, this is not recommended and is even forbidden in Europe, but we can't be held responsible for the way the vehicle is used, especially as the changeover to MIN is always trouble-free.

EMS & ACM reprogramming Volvo Euro 6

Reprogramming the AdBlue data in the vehicle is possible thanks to our equipment. It also requires resetting the soot levels, otherwise the fault will remain. The Volvo case is therefore mandatory (but we have it). By reprogramming the EMS, it is also possible to shunt the EGR valve and increase the vehicle's power.
