Limited power on Scania R500 V8
Do you have limited power on your Scania V8 after a free exhaust system installation or an Adblue system failure?
Don't forget to consult our SCANIA Euro 4 5 6 special reprogramming database.
(Videos at the bottom of the page) : It's possible to regain the power of your Scania R500 V8 Euro 5 after installing flaps or free exhaust. In fact, as soon as the AdBlue system fails or the exhaust gases are diverted, your Scania will enter a degraded mode, restricting engine power and torque. The truck will no longer pull uphill, making it difficult to operate.
No more limited power on Scania V8s
When your vehicle is in degraded mode, you either have to repair the entire Adblue system, or go without a valve. However, we do have alternative solutions that get around the Adblue problem and the fault when fitting a free exhaust. Scania Euro 5 vehicles are mainly equipped with EMS S6 engine ECUs. Using specific software, we can inhibit the SCR system, so that the limited power on Scania is inactive and there is no longer any warning light on the dashboard.
Stage 1 engine programming to increase power to 580hp on R500 V8 Euro 5
We can and have increased the power of this R500 V8. By optimizing the engine parameters, we've gained around 80hp and 300Nm of torque. The difference is clear: the truck grips hills much better. In our case, with a 20-ton trailer, on the same hill before and after: We finished at the top at 70km/h and now at 80/81 km/h after Stage 1 engine reprogramming.
Implementation of new parameters using SCANIA software
