    Why remove adblue from Renault D26 (Euro 6)?

    In most cases, the Adblue, Fap or EGR faults present on Renault D Euro 6 vehicles reduce the vehicle's torque and power. In our case below, we were experiencing engine torque restrictions on this 6×2 used for refuse collection. The main cause was faulty NOx sensors, except that after changing them several times, the fault kept recurring. The budget quoted to the customer for changing the complete exhaust system was in excess of €8,000. He opted for another solution.

    Poor adblue quality and system deactivation

    The defect P207F9A present in the EMS (engine management system) indicates a defect in the quality of the adblue, even though it is of high quality. This is indicated by a fault in the exhaust gas aftertreatment system. The various parts we changed didn't resolve the problem, so we decided to deactivate the system to avoid this type of problem in the future. To do this, we had to read and write the EMS 2.3 and ACM engine ECU program.

    Other deactivatable parameters: Particulate filter and EGR valve

    Problems closely linked to the emission control system often concern the particulate filter and clogging of the EGR valve. In fact, and especially in our case, the refuse collection vehicle is driven only short distances, stopping very frequently, so filter regeneration doesn't take place, and the filter becomes clogged, obstructed and sometimes even blocked to the point where it no longer allows exhaust gases to pass through, causing overpressure in the intake and turbocharger as well as the EGR valve. The result can be turbo failure. We can therefore put a definitive stop to regeneration, and in particular to faults linked to these two components.

    After complete reprogramming of the engine parameters, the vehicle no longer has any faults stored in the engine ECU or on the dashboard. Although it is not permitted to drive without an emission control system in force in Europe, it is not possible to check that the system is deactivated. However, we advise you to carry out this operation only if you are exporting your truck, or if you are aware that it is FORBIDDEN to deactivate the system (even if invisible to the MIN).
