    How to solve Adblue problems on your Volvo L150H Excavator

    Volvo CE Tier 4F machines are equipped with DxxJ D4J D6J D8J D11J D13J D16 engines, which operate via an Engine Management System (EMS) version 2.3 and an Advanced Control Module (ACM). Both are connected via the CAN network. Adblue problems can be caused by a number of factors, such as sensor problems, EGR valve regulation problems or soot levels in the FAP.

    Volvo L150H and Adblue problems : Troubleshooting

    We offer two solutions to Adblue problems. The first solution is to reprogram both units, removing the EGR valve, the FAP and the SCR. This requires our on-site intervention. The second solution is to install a data virtualization box in place of the ACM.

    ECU reprogramming solution

    When you use the reprogramming solution, we intervene directly on the EMS and ACM programming parameters. The Engine Management System (EMS) is responsible for managing engine operating parameters, while the Advanced Control Module (ACM) is responsible for managing emission control parameters. These two units are linked by the Controller Area Network (CAN), which enables real-time data exchange between the various machine components.

    By reprogramming these boxes, we can remove the EGR valve, the FAP and the SCR, which are key components of the emission control system. This eliminates the error codes associated with these components, and significantly reduces soot emissions. However, it is important to note that this solution is not permanent and does not solve the underlying problems of these components, it just enables them to be bypassed to avoid faults. It is, however, effective for the full duration of use, with no expiry date.

    In short, the box reprogramming solution eliminates EGR valve, FAP and SCR error codes by intervening directly on the programming parameters of the EMS and ACM linked via the CAN network.

    ACM virtualization solution

    Data virtualization box mounting solution The mounting of a data virtualization box in place of the ACM, enables the various values of SCR system components, such as pump, NOx sensors, temperature, differential pressure and AdBlue level, to be emulated. This solution uses state-of-the-art algorithms, such as HCDEA and HCDMA, for total control of soot rate values. It is also reversible, so you can return to the original settings at any time.

    In summary, Adblue problems on your Volvo L150H Excavator can be solved with appropriate troubleshooting solutions, such as reprogramming the boxes or fitting a data virtualization box. It is important to note that these are temporary solutions, and that the decision to use them is your responsibility.
