AdBlue fault on Midlum 180 DXi Renault Euro 5 - All DXi engines

Repairing an AdBlue fault on a Renault Euro 5 Midlum

How do you repair an AdBlue fault on a Midlum Euro 5 so that it can be exported and the system permanently deactivated for African countries, for example?
The solution involves grafting an AdBlue data virtualization box onto the vehicle's CAN Bus network. In other words, the operating variables to be received by the engine ECU will in fact be sent by our emulation solution, rather than by the faulty system itself.

Remove an adblue defect on Midlum Euro 5? Why should I do this?

When the exhaust after-treatment system fails on a Renault Euro 5 DXi engine - whether Midlum, Premium or Magnum - the emissions management system is identical, a torque reduction problem occurs. The engine is then said to be in limitation mode, a degraded mode that prevents it from offering its full power and torque. It becomes very difficult to climb hills and reach the desired speeds, especially when the vehicle is loaded. The message is as follows.

Adblue Renault Midlum and engine limitationThe causes can be many and varied: it could be a problem with the dipstick, the pump, the NOx sensor, sometimes a blown fuse, other times a clogged catalytic converter. In short, there are many causes, and it's not always easy to find a solution for a small amount of money. On this front-end export vehicle, for example, we intervened following a problem with a faulty AdBlue gauge and pump. The AdBlue warning light is on, as is the exhaust gas treatment light, and the AdBlue gauge no longer indicates any AdBlue level.

What happens after we install our virtualization solution on Midlum Euro 5?

Once you've installed our AdBlue repair box, the faults will disappear and you'll be able to export your vehicle abroad without AdBlue and without any engine restrictions, torque, power or dashboard warning lights.
The box sends CAN messages to the on-board network, enabling the engine ECU to interpret the correct values, and in this case to simulate an AdBlue level preset by us, as well as virtual system operation.

It's worth noting that the truck is able to climb up the towers with ease, whether on the spot or under load, with no restrictions whatsoever, and that the adblue and exhaust warning lights have disappeared. We didn't take a photo of the gauge once the system was installed, but as we explained, it indicates the level we programmed. The truck is now repaired and ready to drive. Your AdBlue fault on the midlum has now disappeared, and nothing else appears on the dashboard.
