Renault Euro 5 : DXI engine problem
The 13L Dxi engine fitted to Renault Trucks Euro 5 models from Volvo can experience problems with the AdBlue system. The various components (Pump, Injector, Nox sensor, etc.) fail, restricting the truck's capacity. This degraded mode reduces the vehicle's torque and power, preventing it from operating properly. We have a range of solutions for DXI engine problems, particularly when the vehicle is to be exported.
Trucks at fault due to DXI engine problems
Whether you own a Premium or a Magnum, regardless of the engine in question, problems can occur. Note that 460DXi, 480DXi, 500DXi, 520DXi and even smaller engines such as 370DXi and 400Dxi are subject to common Adblue system faults under Euro 5 standards. Data emulation is therefore mandatory if the truck is to be exported to Africa, for example.
Virtualizing the system during a Renault Magnum adblue breakdown
Virtualizing the adblue system for Renault Euro 5 trucks intended for export enables simulation of the various variables involved in operating the adblue system, such as AdBlue level, emulation of pump operation and virtualization of adblue injection. The virtualization system on Magnum (equipped with Volvo DTi13 engines) also works on other Renault Premium vehicles fitted with Dxi engines under Euro 4 or 5 standards.
- Installation of the virtualization module on the vehicle's CAN Bus network.
Upstream programming of the emulation box
We program the amount of adblue simulated on the vehicle's dashboard. According to 9 levels, we can set the needle/bar from 1 quarter to full. In this case, we've set the vehicle's gauge to 100%.
