You've got an Adblue problem on your Renault T, and the truck will go into a degraded mode over a certain number of hours (from 10h to 4h then 2h...) until it's totally restricted and can only travel at a limited speed of 20km/h. Renault T models are equipped with Volvo 11 and 13-liter engines controlled by an engine management system (EMS) in version 2.3 for the latest vehicles, and 2.1 for older models, and coupled to the ACM ECU (gas treatment).

ACM and EMS Renault T: Permanent Adblue Defects
The ACM (exhaust gas treatment) and EMS (engine management module) modules are closely linked and communicate via a CAN BUS data system, providing a wealth of real-time information on the state of the anti-pollution system, such as the degree of clogging of the DPFS, the voltages of the various sensors, the quantity and quality of Adblue and much more. When a fault is detected on either system, the truck goes into downgraded mode after a countdown. Intervention on the ACM and EMS systems will restore engine power and torque, and thus avoid a 20km/h speed restriction.
Renault T's most common problems: Adblue Error ACM in default
In many cases, we have an Adblue quality defect, a faulty Adblue injector, a crystallization problem in the Adblue system with a clogged SCR catalytic converter (€8,000 ex-VAT at Renault) or a faulty AdBlue pump. In rare cases, the ACM ECU may have failed, but we've only come across one such case out of over a hundred vehicles. Virtualization allows virtual data to be sent to the EMS engine ECU. Basically, the box specially developed and designed by us will tell the EMS engine ECU that the gas treatment system is in top form 🙂 no faults detected, everything's fine. With the help of our suitcase, any faults are completely erased and can no longer return (unless Renault touches the EMS ECU with an update), which will erase the few program lines we add to permanently deactivate torque and power restriction.
