    First of all, what is a BONUS motor?

    Would you like to increase the power of your Scania R450? It's possible, and what's more, you'll get a substantial gain in power after reprogramming without compromising the truck's long-term performance. We'll explain why it's possible on the Scania R450 NextGen with DC13148 engine.

    First of all, it's important to know that Scania, and other brands of cars and trucks, use the same engine blocks for economic purposes, and change the peripherals that are grafted onto them.... or not. In the case of a Scania Bonus engine, and particularly in our example here, the version of this R450 with the DC13148 engine is in fact the twin version of the R500 DC13155. To put it simply, Scania has taken over the engine block from the 500, as well as all external peripherals such as injectors, fuel flow pump, injection system, turbo, clutch and gearbox.

    The only key component that regulates power is the engine ECU. It's the software version of the ECU that limits power. on the 450, with reduced injection times, especially at high revs, lower torque limiters and other data. Sometimes it's better to buy a 450 than a 500 and reprogram it. We're talking here about the DC13148 engine.

    Only this DC13148 engine block for the 450 allows such an evolution. There are 2 other engine blocks for the 450, the DC13147 which equips the older StreamLine models, but which are in fact 490s with bridles (on these we go up to 540hp), and the NextGen Phase 2 with DC13164 engines (450hp) which correspond entirely to the 410, so the optimization doesn't allow such a significant gain.

    In addition to a Scania R450 power increase, we can also help you with any problems you may have with your exhaust aftertreatment system. Whether it's a clogged DPFS or an AdBlue problem. Note that even if the operation is invisible to the mine, it is still forbidden if you drive in Europe, as you are supposed to drive without disabling these devices.
