Scania S730 NOx problem: Our solutions
Introduction :
The emission control system on Scania S730 DC16 107 engines can sometimes cause problems. The NOx sensors are the main faulty elements. These sensors are managed by 2 modules, EMS and EEC3. NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) sensors measure levels of nitrogen oxides in diesel engine exhaust gases.
NOx sensor faults and their consequences
- Reduced engine performance: If NOx levels are too high, this can have a negative impact on engine performance. In addition, engine torque will be reduced, and speed limited to 20km/h thereafter.
- Costly repairs: If the NOx control fault is caused by a technical problem, this can lead to costly repairs. Sensor, Pump, Injector...

Temporary or permanent solution to NOx problems
We specialize in programming vehicle memories to counter DPF/SCR-related faults. Engine management and post-processing control the values and feedback of faults. Our aim is to eliminate faults by reprogramming the engine management unit. In addition, the engine management unit prevents the vehicle's engine performance from being restricted. When NOx control is deactivated, the truck no longer has the power and speed restriction mode. However, it should be noted that this solution should only be used in an emergency, to avoid the creation of a potential accident as a result of the vehicle's degraded speed on the road.
However, the user is responsible for the use he makes of it, and it should be noted that it is not permitted to drive with an emissions system that does not comply with the standard in force in the country in which you are driving.
Putting this system on a switch means you can activate it on demand and remain compliant depending on where you're working. If you're taking your vehicle across Europe, then disabling the system means you can drive safely without Adblue, since it's difficult to refuel in countries like Morocco and Tunisia. This system is also valid if you wish to export a truck.
Increased power option available on Scania S730
We can improve engine power and torque for a better driving experience. In fact, the S730, a 16L DC16 107 engine equipped with EGR and variable geometry turbo, gains 80 horsepower and 350Nm of torque on average. This also reduces fuel consumption by a few liters, but this depends on the type of work performed, the road, and the driving style, which needs to be flexible.
