The engine reprogramming gains 90/100hp on this vehicle and almost 300Nm of torque, taking it up to 600hp and reducing fuel consumption by up to 4 to 5L/100km, depending on the work carried out.
Precautions to be taken when increasing power on Scania V8 500
The most common problem with V8 500 Euro 5 models is cracking of the exhaust manifold. It is therefore advisable to check its condition before replacing it. The gearbox and other peripherals handle the torque without a hitch, and the injectors are amply sized to deliver the fuel required for the power increase. It's also possible to upgrade to R560/R620 injectors if you wish, but not necessary.
