Solving an AdBlue problem on Iveco Stralis 480 Euro 6
After numerous requests to the dealerships, we were unable to resolve the fault on the truck, which was accompanied by a number of faults relating to the SCR system. The faults are present in the EDV17CV41 + Denox 2.2 engine management system. The main faults are related to the NOx sensor, which has been changed several times, and to the wiring harness, on which data is not flowing, or is flowing poorly, through the CAN BUS network. These faults cause the truck to go into safety mode: a degraded mode that does not allow full use of engine power and torque. To solve an AdBlue problem on Iveco Stralis 480 Euro 6 linked to the SCR system, we completely and electronically deactivate AdBlue operation (forbidden in Europe, even if invisible at the MIN).
The Torque Limitation fault means that the engine is restricted in terms of power and torque. After several hours, it is also possible for the truck to enter a limited mode, unable to exceed 20kmh.

We completely reprogrammed the truck to remove all fault codes (permanently). The SCR system is now inhibited and adblue consumption is zero. We go straight to the manufacturer's diagnostic socket to carry out the operation. Once the reprogramming has been carried out, the AdBlue problem on the Iveco Stralis 480 is solved, and the truck is no longer in downgraded mode, nor is it limited in speed. It will regain its full power. The Adblue warning light in the top left-hand corner of the photo below will disappear for good.

Removing the Adblue and the DPFS on an Iveco Euro 6, and in our case Eurocargo, will enable the truck to regain its full power, with no defects on the dashboard. The 20kmh limit will be lifted, as will the restrictions on engine power and torque.
